06:07 AM EDT, 08/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- South Korean firms have committed to invest $150 billion in the United States, several media outlets reported Tuesday, citing a summit between US President Donald Trump and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.
The United States and South Korea have also agreed to a non-binding agreement, which would see $350 billion worth of investments in the US.
As part of the latest investment plans, Korean Air has agreed to purchase 103 Boeing ( BA ) aircraft worth $36.2 billion. It has also signed a $13.7 billion agreement with GE Aerospace (GE) for engines and maintenance services, Reuters said.
Korean Zinc signed a germanium supply agreement with Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) from 2028, the report added.
Deals were also struck for automobiles, shipbuilding, nuclear energy, and natural gas, media reports revealed.
