06:21 AM EDT, 05/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Southern Company ( SO ) reported Q1 earnings Thursday of $1.21 per diluted share, up from $1.03 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.20.

Total operating revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $7.78 billion compared with $6.65 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $7.15 billion.
