07:47 AM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) said in a regulatory filing Thursday it appointed Robert Fornaro to its board, effective immediately.

Fornaro, a former Spirit Airlines (SAVE) director, currently serves on the boards of airlines Avianca and WestJet, according to Southwest ( LUV ).

Southwest's ( LUV ) stock was up more than 3% in recent Thursday premarket activity. Spirit shares were up 1.3%.
