Southwest Airlines Q2 Earnings Fall, Revenue Rises

07:31 AM EDT, 07/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) reported Q2 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.58 per diluted share, down from $1.19 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.51.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $7.35 billion compared with $7.04 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $7.34 billion.

Southwest ( LUV ) shares fell by more than 6% in premarket trading.
