08:22 AM EDT, 04/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sparton Resources Inc. ( SPNRF ) said Friday that it is ramping up exploration work on its gold and critical metals projects, including the Oakes project in Ontario and the Pense project in Quebec.
At Oakes, Sparton said it has generated five Induced Polarization anomaly drill targets for gold and copper in earlier work programs. Drilling is planned for later this year.
At Pense, Sparton said recent reconnaissance ground surveys confirmed strong electrical and coincident magnetic anomalies at all of the priority targets. The company said it has started line cutting of detailed survey grids and will begin detailed ground surveys after breakup.
Sparton said Eldorado Gold Corp. ( EGO ) is also "actively assessing data" at the Bruell project in Quebec to implement a decision related to its future involvement. Eldorado's option decision date was extended to April 19.
Sparton rose 16.7% yesterday.
