12:31 PM EDT, 05/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Spirit AeroSystems ( SPR ) filed a lawsuit late Wednesday to block a probe by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton into the safety of the company's airplane parts provided to Boeing ( BA ) .

The company called the Paxton's request for internal documents and other information unreasonable.

The request violates "Spirit's Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures," the company said in the legal complaint.
