STMicroelectronics, Qualcomm Unit Collaborate on Wireless Connectivity

09:47 AM EDT, 10/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- STMicroelectronics ( STM ) and Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) Qualcomm Technologies International unit said Tuesday they have partnered to provide industrial and consumer Internet of Things, or IoT, applications augmented by edge artificial intelligence.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

STMicroelectronics ( STM ) will integrate its STM32 microcontroller ecosystem with Qualcomm Technologies' AI-powered wireless connectivity tools, providing developers with enhanced connectivity software integration into STM32 microcontroller ecosystem, the companies said.

The initial products from this partnership are expected to be rolled out to OEMs in Q1 next year, the companies added.

STMicroelectronics ( STM ) and Qualcomm ( QCOM ) shares were down 1.5% and 2% respectively in early trading.
