March 27 (Reuters) - Suncor Energy Inc ( SU ) on

Thursday reported it was responding to an incident involving the

St. Clair River near its 85,000-barrels-per-day refinery in

Sarnia, Ontario, according to a community alert.

St. Clair Township reported "there has been a spill to St.

Clair river that could result in unsafe water conditions."
