08:27 AM EDT, 04/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SunOpta ( STKL ) said Friday that shareholders have approved the proposed acquisition of the company by an affiliate of Refresco in an all-cash transaction valued at $6.50 per share.

The approval was secured with 98.06% of votes cast in favor of the transaction, along with 82.45% support for a non-binding advisory executive compensation proposal, the company said.
