08:34 AM EDT, 04/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sunshine Biopharma ( SBFM ) said Friday its Nora Pharma unit has received Health Canada approval to commercialize its first biosimilar product Niopeg in the country.

The company said Niopeg is a long-acting form of filgrastim, which is indicated for reducing infection incidence in non-myeloid cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Shares of the company were down more than 24% in recent Friday premarket activity.
