Goldman Sachs ( GS ) , the underwriter of the offering, tried to sell the shares before the market opened but failed to find enough buyers in time, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) was offering to sell the shares at $900 to $1,000.68 apiece, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.
Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) and Goldman Sachs ( GS ) did not immediately respond to requests for comment by MT Newswires.
Shares of the company dropped more than 10% in recent trading.
