08:02 AM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Surge Copper ( SRGXF ) said Thursday that it completed its 2024 field program at the Berg and Ootsa copper-molybdenum-precious metals projects in British Columbia.
As part of the program, the company drilled 5,054 meters comprising 13 diamond drill holes. Assay results are pending.
The company said a pre-feasibility level metallurgy program is expected to be completed in early 2025.
"We're pleased with how efficiently this year's field program progressed," CEO Leif Nilsson said. "We achieved all the critical objectives, and thanks to high productivity and favorable weather conditions, we exceeded our original drilling target."
The company's share price jumped 7.4% yesterday to $0.15 on the TSXV.
