Swiss to extend rescue package for critical electricity companies

BERLIN, May 14 (Reuters) - The Swiss government on

Wednesday said it plans to extend a rescue package for

systemically critical electricity producers that was introduced

during the 2022 energy crisis.

Current rules for aid to the industry will be replaced by

comprehensive regulation from 2027 to make the sector more

resilient and prevent economic risks for the country, it added.
