Synopsys, SiMa.ai Collaborating to Provide New Tool for Automotive AI Features

10:42 AM EST, 12/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Synopsys ( SNPS ) and SiMa.ai said Tuesday they are collaborating to develop a new tool for automakers to speed up the development of workload-specific silicon and software for artificial intelligence-enabled features in automobiles.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The companies will integrate Synopsys' ( SNPS ) electronic design automation, automotive-grade IP, and hardware-assisted verification tools with SiMa.ai's machine learning accelerator IP to maximize IP, subsystems, chiplets, and system-on-chips customization, the companies said.

The new tool will offer architecture exploration, end-to-end workflow including virtual prototyping, and other services, according to the companies.
