02:42 PM EDT, 07/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sysco ( SYY ) workers who are members of the Teamsters labor union in Minnesota have voted unanimously to authorize a strike "if the company fails to deliver a fair contract," the union said Wednesday.

A group of more than 230 drivers and warehouse workers are asking for wage increases, stronger benefits, and improved working conditions, according to a statement.

The strike authorization gives the union the power to call a work stoppage after the contract expiration date on Friday, the union said.

Sysco ( SYY ) did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
