11:55 AM EDT, 04/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ( TSM ) said Wednesday that it expects to resume work after further inspections following the major earthquake in Taiwan.
"A small number of tools were damaged at certain facilities, partially impacting their operations. However, there is no damage to our critical tools including all of our extreme ultraviolet lithography tools," the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company said that initial inspections show that its construction sites are normal and impacted facilities are set to resume production throughout the night.
The company added that it continues to evaluate the impact of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake.
