Take-Two Interactive Fiscal Q1 Loss Widens, Revenue Rises; Guidance Updated -- Shares Rise

04:26 PM EDT, 08/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Take-Two Interactive Software ( TTWO ) reported a fiscal Q1 loss late Thursday of $1.52 per diluted share, wider than the loss of $1.22 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $1.37.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $1.34 billion, up from $1.28 billion a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.25 billion.

The company said it expects a fiscal Q2 loss of $2.30 to $2.15 per share on revenue of $1.29 billion to $1.34 billion. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect loss of $0.94 and revenue of $1.45 billion.

Take-Two updated its fiscal year 2025 guidance to a loss of $4.33 to $3.95 from the previous outlook of $3.90 to $3.50 per share. Analysts expect a loss of $3.21.

The company reiterated its fiscal year revenue guidance of $5.57 billion to $5.67 billion. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $5.65 billion.

Shares rose 3% in after-hours trading.
