09:04 AM EDT, 06/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TEGNA ( TGNA ) said Monday it appointed Michael Steib to succeed David Lougee as the company's chief executive, effective Aug. 12.

Steib, 48, is currently CEO of Artsy, an online platform for discovering and collecting art.

The company also added Catherine Dunleavy, a senior finance and media executive, and Denmark West, who heads Market Intelligence and Strategic Engagements at X, The Moonshot Factory, an Alphabet (GOOGL) division, to the board as new independent directors as of July 1.
