Tesla CEO Musk Announces Launch of Terafab Project

04:59 AM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) Chief Executive Elon Musk said Saturday the company's Terafab project to make artificial intelligence chips will launch in seven days.

In 2025, Musk said the electric vehicle maker probably will have to build "a gigantic chip fab" to manufacture AI chips, Reuters reported.

Tesla didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
