Tesla Reported for Alleged Illegal Electrical Work in Sweden, Swedish Electricians' Union Says
Jun 12, 2024 8:10 AM

10:39 AM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) has been reported to the police in Sweden for alleged electrical installation work at one of its charging stations without the required registration with the country's electrical safety authority, the Swedish Electricians' Union said Wednesday.

The union said that since Tesla is not registered with the electrical safety agency, it can't perform electrical installations under Swedish laws.

"Since Tesla violates Swedish legislation, we have to react," said Mikael Pettersson, the union's head of negotiations. "We can never accept illegal electrical installations."

Tesla didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
