05:18 AM EDT, 03/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- New car registrations in Europe and the UK rose 1.7% in February, compared with a year earlier after falling 3.9% in January, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association said Tuesday.
Registrations of new Tesla (TSLA) vehicles in February rose 11.2% in the EU plus the European Free Trade Area and the UK and were up 0.9% in the first two months of the year amid a 15.2% increase in electrical and hybrid vehicle registrations, the trade association said.
The increase reverses 13 months of decline, Reuters reported.
Stellantis ( STLA ) new car registrations were up 9.5% in February, while Toyota ( TM ) and Honda ( HMC ) sales were down 3.9% and up 0.3%, respectively, the association said.
