Tesla's Robotaxi Exceeded Expectations During Texas Launch, Wedbush Says
Jun 23, 2025 4:51 AM

07:37 AM EDT, 06/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla's (TSLA) Robotaxi exceeded expectations as the company offered test rides during its Sunday launch in Austin, Texas, Wedbush Securities said in a Sunday note.

Analysts said they took "multiple rides" in a Robotaxi during the launch with a Tesla Operator overseeing the ride but not allowed to influence the car in any way.

"Going into it, we expected to be impressed but walking away from it, all there is to say is that this is the future," said the analysts, adding that "it was indistinguishable that the car was driverless."

The analysts also said the experience was safe and comfortable, marking a milestone for autonomous driving and Tesla's artificial intelligence story.

Wedbush reiterated its outperform rating and $500 price target for Tesla.
