There has been a V-shaped recovery in gas volumes, and at 9.5 mmscmd, it is at pre-COVID levels, Gujarat Gas CFO, Nitesh Bhandari said in an interview with CNBC-TV18.

Speaking on the reduction in gas prices, Bhandari said it would be positive for City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies and CNG consumers. He said CNG prices were still at a discount to petrol and diesel prices.

He said Gujarat Gas would be setting up five liquefied natural gas (LNG) stations in collaboration with Petronet LNG, and 50 CNG gas stations on its own.
