TotalEnergies Commissions Eighth Biomethane Unit in France

10:06 AM EST, 02/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- TotalEnergies (TTE) said Wednesday it has commissioned BioNorrois, its eighth biomethane production unit in France.

The plant, in Normandy, is expected to generate 153 gigawatt-hours of biomethane and 150,000 tons of digestate annually, reducing chemical fertilizer use by 5,500 tons and cutting 30,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, the company said.
