07:51 AM EDT, 09/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) is recalling more than 42,000 vehicles in the US due to a loss of power brake assist that could increase the distance required for the vehicles to stop, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

The recall involves certain 2023-2024 Corolla Cross hybrid vehicles and dealers of the Japanese automaker will update the skid control electronic control unit software to resolve the issue, the NHTSA said in a statement.

Toyota Motor ( TM ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on Friday.
