04:26 PM EDT, 08/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) on Thursday reported its July global sales rose 0.7% to 924,918 vehicles, including Daihatsu and Hino, marking the first year-over-year increase in six months.

Overseas sales in July fell 0.4% to 738,806 vehicles, while sales in Japan increased 5.4% to 186,112 units, the automaker said.

Worldwide production was up 0.6% to 923,658 vehicles, with production in Japan rising 4.2% to 386,225 units and overseas production falling 1.9% to 537,433 units, the company said.
