03:17 PM EDT, 06/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) said Thursday it is recalling about 145,000 units of its 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander and Lexus TX in the US due to safety concerns about the curtain shield airbag.

The company said it is working to address the issue regarding the curtain shield airbag on the driver's side possibly not deploying during a crash if the driver's window is rolled down.

Toyota ( TM ) said it will notify customers about the issue by the middle of August.
