07:39 AM EST, 01/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Trimble (TRMB) said Monday it has extended its technology partnership with Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) Qualcomm Technologies unit to support the supply of precise positioning services for automated vehicles.

The expanded deal covers the integration of Trimble's precise positioning engine, Trimble ProPoint Go, with Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF Gen 2 platform, Trimble said.

The company also said vehicles with the joint solution will likely be on the roads by 2028.
