07:20 AM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- President Donald Trump told Fox News in an interview aired Sunday that he has identified a buyer for the US operations of TikTok, news outlets reported.

"We have a buyer for TikTok, by the way. I think I'll need probably China's approval and I think President Xi will probably do it," Trump was quoted as saying by Bloomberg. "It's a group of very wealthy people."

TikTok owner ByteDance has repeatedly said that the company is not for sale, and the Chinese government has opposed any deal.
