Trupanion Says Ready to Provide Coverage For Feline Infectious Peritonitis Treatment in US

12:50 PM EDT, 05/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Trupanion ( TRUP ) said Wednesday lifesaving drugs for feline infectious peritonitis may now become available to cats in the US starting as early as June.

"We're excited about the potential to provide coverage for the treatment of FIP here in the US while aligning with FDA guidelines," said Chief Veterinary/Product Officer Steve Weinrauch.

The drugs are available to treat cats in Australia, Canada and elsewhere across the globe, the medical insurance provider for cats and dogs said.

Trupanion ( TRUP ) shares were down about 12% in recent trading.
