Oct 31, 2024 7:20 PM

11:18 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tutor Perini ( TPC ) said Thursday its joint venture with Nan has been awarded a base value contract of about $330.6 million by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Marianas, for the Apra Harbor Waterfront Repairs Project.

The firm said the project is to repair Guam Harbor's Glass Breakwater and restore and modernize waterfront areas that have been eroded and damaged from storms, including the Typhoon Mawar in May.

The contract includes nine options for additional expected scopes of work that could upsize the total contract value by up to an additional $230 million, if exercised, the company said.

Design work is expected to start immediately, with in-water construction likely to start in August 2025 and substantial completion expected in July 2029, it said.
