07:14 AM EST, 11/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TXNM Energy ( TXNM ) subsidiary Public Service Company of New Mexico said Monday it had agreed to join the California Independent System Operator Extended Day-Ahead Market.

The voluntary day-ahead regional market will help deliver "significant reliability, economic, and environmental benefits" western US customers by increasing coordination between utilities, the company said. It is scheduled to launch in 2026, with the Public Service Company of New Mexico planning to begin participating in 2027.
