09:47 AM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) said Wednesday it is launching a pilot program in the US that will allow women riders and drivers to be matched with each other.

The ride hailing company said the new program will let women passengers request to match with women drivers when booking or pre-booking a ride and also allow women drivers to choose to drive women.

Uber ( UBER ) said the features will be launched in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Detroit in the "next few weeks."
