08:06 AM EDT, 06/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) said Tuesday it is launching autonomous ride-hailing services in Atlanta in partnership with Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo.

Riders will be able to commute throughout 65 square miles of Atlanta, the ride-hailing company added.

The new service will be available for riders who request an UberX, Comfort, or Comfort Electric, the company said, adding that the riders will then be connected with a Waymo fully autonomous all-electric Jaguar I-PACE vehicle without any additional charges.

Uber's ( UBER ) stock was up more than 3% in recent Tuesday premarket activity, while Alphabet's stock was over 1% higher.
