Uber-Backed Self-Driving Startup Waabi Raises $200 Million in Series B Funding Round

08:13 AM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) backed self-driving startup Waabi said Tuesday it has raised $200 million in a Series B funding round.

Waabi said the new funding brings total investment in the company to more than $280 million, which will support the deployment of driverless and generative AI-based autonomous trucks in 2025.

The funding round, led by Uber ( UBER ) and Khosla Ventures, included contributions from Nvidia ( NVDA ) , Volvo Group Venture Capital, and Porsche Automobil Holding SE, among others, Waabi said.
