UltraTech Cement emerges as front-runner to buy Emami Group’s cement business, says report

UltraTech Cement Ltd is leading the race to buy the cement business of Emami Group in an all-cash deal worth Rs 6,500-7,000 crore, reported LiveMint.

According to the report, Ambuja Cements Ltd is the only other contender for the sale of Emami Cement Ltd.

Ambuja Cement’s offer is less than that of UltraTech Cement, the report added quoting people aware of the development.
