United Airlines Taps Granite in $89 Million Subcontract for Renovations at Houston Airport

05:39 PM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United Airlines (UAL) and Manhattan Construction selected Granite (GVA) as subcontractor for renovation of United Airlines Terminal B at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.

Under terms of the $89 million subcontract, Granite will provide roughly 126,000 square yards of demolition, 154,000 square yards of concrete for a new apron and service roads. The company will also provide earthwork, utility coordination and drainage work. The north and south concourses of the terminal will be renovated.

The project will be included in Granite's Q2 committed and awarded projects. The entire project is valued at more than $2 billion, funded by United Airlines and the City of Houston.
