Affirm (AFRM) shares were up about 4% in recent Thursday trading after the company said it and Alphabet's (GOOGL, GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) extended their partnership on Google's ( GOOG ) Agent Payments Protocol, or AP2, which is an open, payment-agnostic protocol designed to securely support agent-led payments across platforms.

The payment network company said that by contributing to AP2, it helps to embed the buy now pay later or BNPL feature directly into the architecture of agentic commerce.
