11:43 AM EDT, 05/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Callinex Mines ( CLLXF ) over the holiday weekend said it doubled the size of its Pine Bay project in Manitoba after signing an option agreement to acquire a nearby property and staking additional claims.
The project now covers 11,859 hectares, consolidating prospective exploration ground, the company said, adding that it signed an agreement for an option to acquire the Alberts Lake project from Voyageur Mineral Explorers ( CPEFF ) .
Callinex said it also staked additional ground to consolidate the largest felsic volcanic rock package in the Flin Flon Greenstone Belt.
"As we continue to advance our high-grade copper discoveries to the south, we are eager to apply our proven exploration model on key high-grade copper and gold targets within the newly acquired ground," Callinex chief executive Max Porterfield said.
Callinex shares were last seen up $0.06 to $1.42 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
