Update: Commvault Systems Shares Fall After Fiscal Q2 Earnings Miss

Commvault Systems ( CVLT ) shares fell 16.6% in recent Tuesday trading after the company posted lower-than-expected fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings.

The company reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $0.91 per diluted share, up from $0.83 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.94.

Total revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $276.2 million, up from $233.3 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $273.3 million.

The company said it expects fiscal Q3 total revenue in the range of $298 million to $300 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $298.2 million.

Commvault ( CVLT ) said it continues to expect fiscal 2026 total revenue in the range of $1.16 billion to $1.17 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $1.16 billion.
