Cornish Metals ( SBWFF ) on Thursday said the Bartles Foundry project at its South Crofty tin project in the United Kingdom received grant funding of up to 4.2-million British pounds from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Program.
The grant funding is equivalent to a maximum of 62% of the total Bartles Foundry project cost, estimated at about 6.8-million pounds.
"This funding will enable the construction of the Bartles Foundry project that will support South Crofty as we move into the underground development phase, which will provide local employment opportunities during the construction and operational phase," said chief executive Don Turvey.
The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Program is managed by Cornwall Council and funded by the U.K. government through the U.K. Shred Prosperity Fund.
