Update: Eli Lilly to Raise Mounjaro Prices in UK Starting September
Aug 14, 2025 8:39 AM

11:25 AM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates to include a statement from Eli Lilly ( LLY ) in the second and third paragraphs.)

Eli Lilly ( LLY ) said Thursday that it will increase the UK price of Mounjaro, the company's weight-loss and type 2 diabetes drug, starting September to align pricing with other developed countries.

A spokesperson for Eli Lilly ( LLY ) told MT Newswires that the company had agreed to a UK list price that is "significantly below the European average" when it launched the drug to prevent delays in National Health Service, or NHS, availability.

The new prices reflect "changes in the environment and new clinical evidence supporting the value of Mounjaro," the spokesperson said, adding that Eli Lilly ( LLY ) has reached an agreement with the NHS for continued supply of and patient access to Mounjaro.

News outlets reported the same day that the price increase will vary for different doses of Mounjaro, with up to a 170% increase for the highest doses.

Price: 676.73, Change: +16.24, Percent Change: +2.46
