Fireweed Metals ( FWEDF ) on Monday released an update on its Mactung tungsten project in the Yukon.
The company has completed an 11,117-meter multi-purpose drill program at the project. Information from the program will be included in an upcoming feasibility study, which is scheduled to begin before the end of 2025.
Fireweed noted high tungsten grades across significant true widths, with highlights that include 12 meters of 6.21% tungsten trioxide, 29 meters of 2.56% tungsten trioxide, 16 meters of 4.53% tungsten trioxide, and 15 meters of 2.16% tungsten trioxide. These confirm the high-grade nature and scale of the deposit.
The company began a mineral resource update targeting resource conversion from inferred to indicated, a key component of the feasibility study.
Environmental baseline studies are also being undertaken in support of future mine licensing.
Fireweed shares at last look Monday were up $0.09 to $2.75 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
