Eli Lilly ( LLY ) expects its Zepbound weight-loss drug to come out of its shortage in the US in the coming days, Bloomberg quoted CEO David Ricks as saying in an interview on Thursday.

"I think actually today or tomorrow we plan to exit that process," Ricks reportedly said.

Lilly is reportedly working with the FDA to update on Zepbound's availability, indicating the supply situation is still changing.

Neither the FDA nor Eli Lilly ( LLY ) immediately responded to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

The company's shares were up nearly 3.6% in recent trading.
