Update: Market Chatter: Nvidia, Broadcom Test Manufacturing With Intel
Mar 3, 2025 7:19 AM

09:58 AM EST, 03/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Nvidia ( NVDA ) declining to comment in penultimate paragraph.)

Nvidia ( NVDA ) and Broadcom ( AVGO ) are conducting manufacturing tests with Intel ( INTC ) , Reuters reported Monday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

The report said the two tests, using Intel's ( INTC ) 18A manufacturing process, suggest that the companies are evaluating whether to commit to large-scale manufacturing contracts with Intel ( INTC ).

Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) is also assessing whether Intel's ( INTC ) 18A process suits its needs, though it is unclear if it has sent test chips, unnamed sources told Reuters.

The tests are focused on evaluating Intel's ( INTC ) foundry for advanced AI processors and other chips, but their results don't guarantee new business for Intel ( INTC ), Reuters said.

A Nvidia ( NVDA ) spokesperson declined to comment in reply to a request sent by MT Newswires.

Broadcom ( AVGO ), Intel ( INTC ), and Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
