Target ( TGT ) will not offer its LGBTQ-themed goods in certain stores for Pride Month this June in response to backlash to the collection last year, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The full assortment is still expected to be sold online but the company is studying store-level data to decide where to offer the collection, the report said.

Target ( TGT ) is likely to stock only about half of its almost 2,000 stores in the US with the Pride collection, Bloomberg said, noting that the retailer had offered the special merchandise in all outlets in the past years.

A spokesperson for Target ( TGT ) told MT Newswires that the retailer "will offer a collection of products for Pride, including adult apparel, home products, food and beverage, which has been curated based on guest insights and consumer research." These items will be available in "select stores" and the company's website, the spokesperson said.
