US President Donald Trump plans to name Meta Platforms ( META ) Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle (ORCL) CEO Larry Ellison and Nvidia ( NVDA ) CEO Jensen Huang to a technology council that will weigh in on AI policy and other tech issues, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing a White House official.

The President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology will be co-chaired by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios, who have served as White House AI and crypto czar and White House technology adviser, respectively, the report said, citing the official.

Trump plans to name 13 members from the tech industry on Wednesday, including Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) co-founder Sergey Brin, the official reportedly told The WSJ.

"The United States has the opportunity to lead the world in AI," Zuckerberg said as per a statement shared by a company spokesperson. "I'm honored to join the President's council and work with the industry leaders to help make this happen."

"We're delighted to see Nvidia ( NVDA ) CEO Jensen Huang appointed to this council and to have the opportunity to advance American leadership in AI," Nvidia ( NVDA ) said in a post on X. "America's strength in science and technology depends on a vibrant ecosystem of researchers, developers, and industry working together to drive innovation and global leadership."

Oracle and Google ( GOOG ) did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
