Jun 5, 2025 8:29 AM

11:10 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Update with Trump's social media post in third paragraph.)

Chinese President Xi Jinping told President Donald Trump to remove "negative" measures in trade negotiations and said that Trump was welcome to visit China, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing a transcript of the phone conversation between the leaders published by China's state broadcaster.

Xi agreed to more trade talks, the report said.

"I just concluded a very good phone call with President Xi, of China, discussing some of the intricacies of our recently made, and agreed to, Trade Deal," Trump said in a Truth Social post. "There should no longer be any questions respecting the complexity of Rare Earth products. Our respective teams will be meeting shortly at a location to be determined."
