Update: Microsoft Should 'Immediately Terminate' Lisa Monaco's Employment, Trump Says
Sep 30, 2025 7:16 AM

09:01 AM EDT, 09/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with response from Microsoft ( MSFT ) in the fourth paragraph.)

Microsoft ( MSFT ) should "immediately terminate" President of Global Affairs Lisa Monaco, US President Donald Trump said Friday.

"Monaco has been shockingly hired as the president of global affairs for Microsoft ( MSFT ), in a very senior role with access to highly sensitive information," Trump said in a social media post. "She is a menace to US national security, especially given the major contracts that Microsoft ( MSFT ) has with the [US] government."

The government recently stripped Monaco of all security clearances, took away all of her access to National Security Intelligence, and banned her from all Federal properties due to her "many wrongful acts," Trump wrote.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) declined to comment when contacted by MT Newswires.
