11:51 AM EST, 11/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Red Pine Exploration ( RDEXF ) on Wednesday said assay results from its 2024 prospecting program on the Wawa gold project in Ontario, confirming "significant" gold mineralization.

Grab sample results from the War Eagle zone included up to 17.10 grams per tonne gold, 8.61 g/t gold and 12.90 g/t gold.

"The prospecting program highlights the prospectivity of the entire property that remains untested in many areas outside of the 2024 [Mineral Resource Estimate]," chief executive Michael Michaud said. "We look forward to completing follow-up drilling and surface sampling on these new targets during the remainder of 2024 and in 2025."

The company is conducting a 25,000-meter drilling campaign at the project.

Red Pine shares were last seen up $0.005 to $0.12 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
